I bet the guy sold his M3 but didn’t want to lose the vanity plate because he hopes to own one again in the future, so he had it transferred to his truck.

There’s someone that parks at a business I frequently run past whose license plate (Virginia Gadsden flag, of course ) says “ONE NTN” and I desperately want to add a sticker that says "under a groove"

Years ago, a fellow in my neighborhood had an early Honda Insight with vanity plate, “NO2OPEC”. After a few years it disappeared and a GMC Sierra truck appeared sporting the same plate. You’d think that would be it, but a couple years later another Insight was bought and carried the plate again . Then they moved away.
